The Elmont Fire Department (established in 1928) has a long tradition of volunteer service to the community with its 7 fire companies and 1 EMS Squad. In becoming a volunteer you will be providing the residents of your community, possibly your friends and neighbors, with an outstanding and dedicated Fire Department & Ambulance service. You can make a big difference in your life and the lives of others by volunteering your time as a firefighter or emergency medical technician.

If you are interested in joining or have any further questions about membership please stop by any Elmont Firehouse (Sunday mornings are best) or call the Recruitment Phone at 516-345-8213. The firehouses are located at 96 Gotham Ave., 36 Plainfield Ave., Elmont Rd. & Tarboro St., 2019 Linden Blvd., 100 School Rd., 301 Meacham Ave., and 95 Lehrer Ave.
